    Royal Dram Is A Winner

Sat 1st March by The Daily Record

THE company that make Prince Charles's whisky, Barrogill, are the toast of the industry. Inver House Distillers have been named International Distiller of the Year. The firm, based in Airdrie, Lanarkshire, who also produce Balblair and Old Pulteney malts, launched Barrogill last year. It was personally chosen by the prince after a private tasting.

Barrogill is the former name of Castle of Mey, the late Queen Mother's home near John O'Groats. The label is a water-colour by the prince of the castle. The company said they were "utterly thrilled" at the industry-voted award after judges praised their "dynamic, inspirational and dedicated passion" for whisky.
