Each spring Struan Apiaries sends out about 700 hives across the North Highlands of Scotland. The area is sparsely populated and unpolluted, making it a wonderful habitat for honey bees. Hamish Robertson, with his wife Joan and sons Martin and Nigel and their wives Jennifer and Karen, extract and store the honey with the greatest care. They gently warm the honey and package the best for Mey Selections by hand using their own, locally designed filling system – and then add a touch of Mey Selections Barrogill whisky uniquely blended from North Highland Malts.
